note 01
Washing a wool throw
Less often than you think, and always cool.
Most of the time a throw only needs airing. Shake it out and hang it over a chair by an open window for an afternoon.
When it does need washing, hand wash in cool water with a wool detergent. Don't rub or wring — press the water through it, then squeeze gently.
Roll it in a large towel to take out most of the water, then dry it flat, away from direct heat and sun. Never tumble dry.
Dry cleaning is fine too, if you'd rather not do it at home.
